The Dallas Emergent Cohort seeks to gather people from the Dallas area for conversation, fellowship, encouragement and community as we engage in emerging issues. Regardless of your level of familiarity with the conversation, we invite you to come and join us!

Tuesday, Sept. 11th at Cafe Brazil

We will be hosting a conversation on leadership in the organized (and unorganized) church - and how we move away from models of fear/high-control that many people have experienced negatively.

A couple of questions to get us started...

Is there a way to help leadership in the organized church cultivate those who may feel victimized by their past experiences?
What are some effective ways to allow folks on both sides of conflict to self identify, self critique, and finally self correct?

See you there!

I don't think I even understand the second question, but it sounds either silly or dangerous...?

If I show how will I recognize the group? Or is that a silly question? Do you ooze emergenTiness?

We pretty much look like folks who would frequent Cafe' Brazil.

:)

Look for some tables together, and if you see more than one set of groups gathered, pick one at random and ask if it's the emergent group. If you get a smile it's the right group, if you get a confused look it's the other group.

daniel,

We are a pretty informal group.
We aren't wearing name tags or anything.
Most of us who would show up are like you, just showed up the first time!
